The Bundelkhand region - approximately an area of 70,000 square kilometers with 21 million people, comprising 13 districts of Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Uttar Pradesh (UP) - is facing its worst ever drought spell in living memory . There are numbers of century old historical lakes in this region which are getting polluted day by day due to the growth of the small scale industrial corridor, nutrient loading and rapid anthropogenic activities. The increasing levels of metals in the aquatic ecosystem, their entry into food chain and the overall health effects are of major concern to researchers in the field of ecology. There are out of twelve existing plants in different water bodies, four aquatic macrophytes namely Eichorniacrassipes, Pistiastratiotes, Lemna minor and Vallisneriaspiralis were selected for phytoremediation study on the basis of their abundance in selected study areas. Concentration of six trace metals have been estimated in above mentioned macrophytes i.e., Copper (Cu), Chromium (Cr), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Lead (Pb), and Zinc (Zn). From a phytoremediation perspective, E. crassipes and Pistiastratiotes are promising plant species for remediation of polluted water bodies of Bundelkhand region.Keywords

Subjective well being in corporate parlance is becoming very much important for the well being of the employees in an organization which has been prove to be something more than employee satisfaction. Subjective well being in an organization not only includes the cognitive aspect but also take physical fitness into the consideration. Being a secondary research we had taken two research papers which highlights different perspectives regarding the subjective well being of employees in an organization. It captures the dynamics of subjective well being in work settings on a daily basis, it suggest that optimal job performance is most likely when subjective well being is a combination of high activation and high pleasure. It has long being recognised that workplace practices like work attitude, wages and quality of work affect employees motivation and firm performance.Keywords

India as a developing country is becoming economically more powerful and requires huge capital for various developmental activities. In order to boost the investment among individual investors, it is necessary to study the investment behaviour of individuals and identify the factors that motivate them to invest, so that idle savings can be channelised into investment. Investment decisions are influenced by many reasons. It is a tolerable fact that the financiers are the central position in the financial market. Behaviour of investors is not fixed. It changes from position to position and from security to security. Hence, it is necessary to identify the factors which influence the investment decisions. In order to increase investment and formulate appropriate theories and policies, it is necessary to understand how individuals invest in the securities and other financial options available.Keywords

The Indian economy is being at its rebounding phase and growing with an average rate of 6-7%. The financial sector in Indian economy is mostly dominated by banks. The banks play a vital role in the economic development of a country. This research intends to suggest a conceptual framework that will investigate the effect of perceived usefulness, perceived social value, and perceived monetary value on the intention to adopt financial services. In order to test this impact, regression analysis has been applied. Primarily, this study aims to explore various dimension of financial services of banks and exploring whether the customers are ready to adopt these financial services. The results reflect that perceived usefulness, social value, and monetary value have a positive impact on intention to adopt financial services. Moreover, further scope and limitations are being discussed.Keywords

In the midst of increasing globalization, the past two decades have observed huge inflow of outside capital in the shape of direct and portfolio investment. The increase in capital mobility is due to contact between the different economies across the globe. The growing liberalization in the capital market leads to the growth of various financial products and services. Over the past decade, the Indian capital market has witnessed numerous changes in the direction of developing the capital markets more robust. With the growing Indian economy, the larger inflow of funds has been fetched into the capital markets. The government is continuously working on investor’s education in order to increase retail participation in the Indian stock market. The habits of the risk-averse middle class have been changing where these investors started participating in the Indian stock market. It is an explored fact that human beings are irrational and considering this fact becomes imperative to investigate factors that influence the trading decisions.
In this research, ‘an attempt has been made to investigate various factors that affect the individual trading decision’. The data has been collected from various stockbroking firms and from clients of those stockbroking firms their opinions were recorded by means of a questionnaire. Data collected through the structured questionnaire, 33 questions were prepared which was given to the 330 respondents on the basis of convenience sampling out of which 220 individuals filled questionnaire, the total of 200 questionnaires was included in the study after eliminating the incomplete questionnaire. Various factors are being explored from the literature and then with the help of factor analysis some of the most influential factors have been explored. Factors like overconfidence, optimism, cognitive bias, herd behavior, advisory effect, and idealism are the factors which influenced the trading decision of the investors the most. Such kind of a study is contributing in the area of behavioral finance as a trading decision is an important aspect while investing in the stock market. And this kind of study would be helping and assisting financial advisors to strategies for their clients in making the right allocation and also the policy maker and market regulators to come up with better reforms for the Indian stock markets.

The Indian banks are paving their way towards the goal of financial inclusion, i.e., making financial services accessible to everyone. With the growing economy, banks are acting as a pillar for sustainable development. These days banks are facing a challenge to attract and retain their customers. They are formulating various strategies in order to gain or tap the maximum number of customers; therefore, it becomes imperative for banks to recognize the factors which the consumer consider while selecting a bank. This study focuses on the customers of north India , specifically the tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where people still lack in terms of financial literacy. A survey was conducted with a sample size of 330 respondents out of which 308 were considered for analysis. Various factors were identified using exploratory factor analyses which were reputation, technology, branch availability, appearance, word of mouth, customer services, price and amenities, These were well thought-factors by the customers keeping bank selection dimensions in the center stage. This kind of study would help banking specialists to customise their strategies in terms of increasing the number of customers as the competition is high in the market. Moreover, it would also help banks in formulating region-wise strategies.Keywords

The objective of this study was the assessment of antioxidant and cytotoxic activity from Tanacetum dolicophyllum. Soxhlet extraction has been used for preparing plant extracts for which five solvents have been used, i.e., Petroleum ether, benzene, ethyl acetate, ethanol, and water. Proteins, tannins, phlobatannins, amino acids, carbohydrates, alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids, glycosides, cardiac glycosides, and phenols were detected in the sample extracts. In the phytochemical screening of plant extracts, ethyl acetate and ethanolic extract show the best results which further leads to the investigation of antioxidant activity. Ferric-Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP), 2,2-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), Reducing Power assay, and Phosphomolybdenum assays were performed to estimate antioxidant activity. In the RPA and TAC, the absorbance of sample extracts increases as there is an increase in concentration. In DPPH and FRAP assay, ethyl acetate showed good results. DPPH assay for ethyl acetate extract with 172.73(µg/ml) and ethanolic extract with 171.07(µg/ml) of IC50 values. The ethyl acetate extract had the highest antioxidant activity. The MTT assay was used to investigate the anticancer activity. The MTT assay discovered that the ethyl acetate extract had the highest anticancer activity against HeLa cells with an IC50 75 µg/mL as compared to a normal cell line J774A. Several compounds present in the extract of ethyl acetate acted as anticancer and contributed to cytotoxic activity.Keywords
